Nahm Revisited

Important: Nahm has shut in London

I was wowed by the hot and sour soup (tom yam kung) from Nahm in the last visit, but last night was rather downhill. The £70 tasting menu was full of disappointing dishes, apart from the red curry of quail which was deliciously authentic. The hot and sour soup lost its sourness to the extent we had to sent it back to the kitchen, which returned improved but still not as good. The scallops had no flavour, like it was simply grilled without any dressing. The lemongrass salad was overly sweet without a hint of Thai flavours. Nahm excels in exotic desserts and the coconut taro cake was amazing like before.

Our dinner last night shows that Nahm has great potential but not at a consistent level. Dinner concluded with me deeply missing a super hot crab curry from Blue Elephant.
